Seven schools remain in the mix for Dorian Thompson-Robinson, the nation's No. 4 dual-threat quarterback. Thompson-Robinson released his list of seven finalists via twitter, as Cal, Florida State, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina and UCLA remain in the hunt to sign the No. 107 overall prospect and No. 2 uncommitted quarterback at this time. It looks like this could come down to a battle between Michigan and UCLA, as the Bruins established themselves early as the program to beat for Thompson-Robinson and his teammate, ESPN 300 tight end Brevin Jordan, while Thompson-Robinson's mother attended Michigan. Cal was not on his initial top-12 list, while Florida State and Oregon are programs to watch and could make a move.

It's no surprise that rising sophomore QB Brandon McIlwain is transferring from South Carolina. Jake Bentley, who will also be a sophomore, cemented himself as the starter for the present and future during his 7 games of work last year (1,420 yards/four wins). McIlwain played in eight games (3 starts), throwing for 600 yards w/2 TDs & 127 rush yards w/2 TDs.
