Welcome to ESPN's PKL Power Rankings as we pick the best players in the Pro Kabaddi League. The rankings are based on seven parameters, each carrying a unique weightage.
Round 3 = 7 October to 25 November 2018 (number in brackets indicates the change in position from the last round)
#10 Rahul Chaudhari - 97.44 points (=)
Raider, Telugu Titans
Chaudhari is only 15th on the raid points tally for this season but he has easily been the most effective raider for the Titans, being the top-scorer in each of their last three matches and starring in their win against Puneri Paltan. However, he has only scored one Super 10 in the 10 matches that the Titans have played and they'll need more from him if they are to make the playoffs.
#9 Vikash Khandola - 98.79 points (new)
Raider, Haryana Steelers
Haryana Steelers broke the bank for Monu Goyat at the auctions but it's Khandola who has been the standout player for his team. After an injury-interrupted season last year, Khandola has had a decisive impact this year in a young team that is missing its regular captain Surender Nada.
#8 Naveen Kumar - 99.44 points (new)
Raider, Dabang Delhi KC
Playing in his maiden season at just 20 years of age, Naveen has been one of the debutants of the season alongwith Siddharth Desai. Delhi fans have been used to Meraj Sheykh's acrobatic raiding over the years but Naveen's flying jumps have been one of the defining images of this season.
#7 Nitin Tomar - 99.78 points (new)
Raider, Puneri Paltan
No team is as reliant on their primary raider as Puneri Paltan on Tomar, who has scored 102 of their 245 raid points this season, a staggering 41 per cent. What makes that tally even more impressive is the fact that Tomar has missed five of Paltan's 16 matches with a knee injury after a heavy landing.
Even if Pune miss out on the playoffs, Tomar has a legitimate claim on being the raider of the season.
#6 Deepak Niwas Hooda - 101.35 points (new)
All rounder, Jaipur Pink Panthers
Hooda has been in imperious form in November, scoring a Super 10 in five of the last six matches for Jaipur. Jaipur have brought up the rear end of the points table for much of the tournament but Hooda's inspired run has seen them win two and tie one of their last six matches.
If he gets more support, they might make a late run for a playoffs berth.
#5 Sachin - 117.86 points (=)
Raider, Gujarat Fortunegiants
After reaching the final in their maiden season, Gujarat look set to repeat that run and just like last season, Sachin has been their best raider again. Gujarat have been unstoppable this month, winning seven and tying one of their nine matches in November.
#4 Siddharth Desai - 123.47 points (-2)
Raider, U Mumba
Mumba have consistently been on top of the table in Zone A and that is down in no small measure to Desai, who is the top scorer this season. Desai has often gotten his team off to blistering starts, helping them take big leads by the time the first half ends.
#3 Pardeep Narwal - 124.84 points (+4)
Raider, Bengaluru Bulls
After a couple of tough matches, Pardeep has found his mojo again as he has added the running hand touch to his repertoire to keep the defenders guessing. The dubki king's form should be a cause of concern for most teams with the playoffs less than a month away.
#2 Vishal Bharadwaj - 128.89 points (+2)
Defender, Telegu Titans
Bharadwaj's average of 4.33 tackle points per match is the best for any defender who has played more than one match this season. Although he has missed four matches for his team -- as they have picked Krushna Madane in the left corner position -- come the business end of the tournament, Bharadwaj would hold the key to the Titans' fortunes.
#1 Pawan Kumar Sehrawat - 150.05 points (=)
Raider, Bengaluru Bulls
Sehrawat has topped our rankings in all three rounds and has been the top raider in a strong Bulls outfit that possesses proven raiders like Rohit Kumar and Kashiling Adake. Sehrawat's 10 Super Raids are four more than anyone else in the tournament and have proved to be match-winning moments on more than one occasion.
