PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- Martaveous McKnight hit a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left in overtime to give Arkansas-Pine Bluff a 78-76 win over Southern to stay undefeated in Southwestern Athletic Conference play Saturday.
Jackson State, which beat Texas Southern in overtime Saturday, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff are the only unbeaten teams in conference play.
Sidney Umude hit two free throws with :40 left to put the Jaguars in front, 76-74. McKnight missed a jumper to tie with :18 left, but Travon Harper grabbed the rebound and fed McKnight, who hit the trey for the lead. Trent Steen hit the first of two free throws with :08 left to set the final margin.
Joe'Randle Toliver hit 5 of 8 from distance and scored 20 points to lead the Lions (4-14, 4-0). McKnight finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds and Steen added 17 points and nine boards.
Umude finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds for Southern (5-13, 1-4). Jared Sam added 17 points and 10 boards.
Mannion, who recently reclassified and is ESPN's No.11 overall player in the class of 2019, chose Arizona over Marquette.
He'll fit in with Sean Miller's plans for a faster tempo on offense.
