Michigan State assistant coach Dane Fife is staying with the Spartans and has withdrawn from the Duquesne search, a source with direct knowledge told ESPN. Fife is the second coach today to do so. Vermont's John Becker was the other.

Vermont coach John Becker told ESPN that he is staying with the Catamounts after looking at the vacant Duquesne job. Becker said he has four years remaining on his contract. He led the Catamounts to the NCAA tournament this season, losing to Purdue in the first round. Under Becker, Vermont has won the America East regular season twice, the conference tournament twice and been to the NCAA tournament twice since taking over in 2011.
