The Cardinals are doing everything they can to lose this game. After Eric Thames triples with one out off Bud Norris and Mike Moustakas is intentionally walked, Norris throws wild on a pickoff attempt at first base and Thames trots in with the go-ahead run.

Wow, huge turn of events in St. Louis. Marcell Ozuna lines a two-run homer off Josh Hader to give the Cards a 4-3 lead. St. Louis had been 3-for-28 off Hader in 2018 entering the inning and went home run, walk, home run without Hader getting an out yet.

Not a good top of the sixth for Cardinals pitchers as they walk three batters and hit another and the Brewers score two runs without a hit to take a 3-1 lead. Jose Martinez, however, homers to center off Josh Hader and now it's 3-2.

Brewers announcers said Ryan Braun told them he woke up this morning with a good feeling in his gut about this series against the Cardinals and he just crushed a second-inning home run into the upper deck in left field off Jack Flaherty to give the Brewers the 1-0 lead.

Adams lifts Cardinals past Giants 5-3

Pinch-hitter Matt Adams had a clutch two-run double in the eighth inning, helping the St. Louis Cardinals beat the San Francisco Giants 5-3 on Friday night.

Braves snap 4-game losing streak behind Freeman, Toussaint

Freddie Freeman hit a two-run homer and drove in three runs, Touki Toussaint pitched into the sixth inning and the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves snapped a four-game skid with a 7-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday.

Anibal Sanchez -- has there been a bigger surprise this season? -- had another solid outing for the Braves, leaving with a 2-1 deficit, but the Cardinals tacked on four runs in the eighth off the Atlanta bullpen. Yadier Molina capped the rally with a two-run single after an eight-pitch battle against Sam Freeman. Given some of the issues in their own bullpen, a much-needed cushion for the Cardinals.

Cardinals infielder Kolten Wong is disappointed that his younger brother, Kean, didn't get called up by the Rays this season, calling Tampa Bay a "bad organization which doesn't give chances to guys who deserve chances."
