The Lakers' retired jerseys are covered for now. The big reveal will become later tonight, when Kobe Bryant's No. 8 and No. 24 join an elite group that will total 10 Laker legends.

Steve Kerr played with Michael Jordan and against Kobe Bryant. Similarities? Differences? "Kobe is the closest thing to Michael [Jordan]," Kerr said. "Everybody has been compared to Michael. LeBron [James] has been compared to Michael. I don't think LeBron is Michael at all. I think he's a very different player, different mentality, mindset. Kobe has the same mindset and mentality that MJ had. The assassin, the ‘I'm-going-to-rip-your-throat-out-with-my-scoring,' low-post dominant fadeaway jumper, footwork [approach]. I thought Kobe's footwork was one of the best parts of his game, probably the most underrated because everybody focused on his shooting and his athleticism. But his footwork got him open. That's where he was so similar to Michael. He could just get any shot he wanted, and he never feared missing. He didn't care about missing. He missed tons of game-winning shots, made tons and just went onto the next game and did the same thing over and over again. Just an absolute assassin. The mentality was so ferocious and competitive. That's what I remember most."

Stephen Curry (sprained right ankle), Zaza Pachulia (left shoulder soreness) and Shaun Livingston (sore right knee) didn't even travel with the Warriors to LA for tonight's game against the Lakers. Draymond Green (right shoulder soreness) is also out, but he did make the trip. "Because it's LA," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said with a laugh. After his team's morning shootaround, Kerr declined to reveal what his team's starting lineup would be.

Brandon Ingram says he thinks every day about how he has Kobe Bryant's old locker at Staples and how much of an honor it is. He says trying to work as hard as Bryant will help him deal with the pressure of filling Bryant's void.

Lonzo Ball on what Kobe Bryant meant to him while he grew up idolizing LeBron James: "I feel like my game's more like LeBron's than Kobe's so I think that's why I gravitated toward his game more but Kobe's one of the best to ever do it and I'm glad both of his jerseys [are being] retired."

Luke Walton recalls the first time he met Kobe Bryant and how Kobe, Karl Malone and Shaquille O'Neal had a bidding war for the right to "own" the then rookie Walton and make his "life a living hell" because of his father's TV commentary back then.

Steve Kerr on the health of his team: "It's gotta be as beaten up as we've ever been since I've been here. I don't remember having this many guys out, in particularly the starters. It's all part of it and we've handled it really well, obviously, and it's created some opportunities for other guys and I think they've taken advantage. So, it's all good."

Golden State Warriors are ruling out Draymond Green (shoulder) and Shaun Livingston for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
