The first place Chicago Bears. It sounds strange, but it's true. The Bears won't be a true playoff contender until quarterback Mitchell Trubisky becomes a more accurate and consistent passer, but Chicago's defense proved it's worth again with four takeaways in the Bears' 16-14 comeback win over Arizona. With better offense, the Bears will be a tough team to beat.

What an ugly 30 minutes by the Bears, who came out flat for the first time in the Matt Nagy era. The Bears are lucky to only trail Arizona 14-3 at halftime. Khalil Mack bailed out Mitchell Trubisky, who threw a pick late in the second quarter, when he sacked Cardinals quarterback Sam Bradford on third-down, which pushed Arizona out of field goal range. The Bears will need a much better performance by Trubisky in the second half to stage a comeback.

Bears rookie wide receiver Anthony Miller was injured during a 7-yard completion in the first quarter. Miller was able to walk off the field under his own power, but a trainer held Miller's left arm as they escorted the second-round pick into the trainers tent. After a few minutes, Miller emerged from the tent and was given his helmet back. It looks as if Miller will be available when Chicago begins its next offensive drive.

With a victory over the Arizona Cardinals (coupled with losses by Green Bay and Minnesota) the Bears would have sole possession of first place in the NFC North for the first time since Week 16 of the 2013 season.
