India beat the United Arab Emirates 3-0 in the quarter-final of the Asian Snooker Championship in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. They will now meet Pakistan in the semi-final.
Aditya Mehta put India in front with a comprehensive 88-15 win over Mohammed Shehab. Pankaj Advani, the newly crowned continental 6-Red snooker champion, increased the lead to 2-0 by beating Mohammed Al Joker 67-19.
The two Indians then paired up to defeat their two UAE rivals 52-21 in the doubles clash.
In the group stages, India had beaten Qatar and Sri Lanka by 3-0 margins, but lost 3-2 to Thailand.
