The Southwestern Athletic Conference is moving its championship game to a neutral site -- at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson, Mississippi.
The SWAC announced it will begin its spring football season on Feb. 27, with a plan to play the conference championship game on May 1.
The SWAC has joined other conferences in postponing fall sports, but it is the first to announce specific plans to move football to the spring, including a six-game conference schedule with games beginning in late February or early March.
