Highlights of Parineeti's Gold Coast adventure

#1 Whale watching in Gold Coast

Parineeti was in for a 'Whale of a time' in Gold Coast, as she went south of Brisbane to the shimmering coastline of Surfers Paradise to join a whale-watching cruise with Whales in Paradise. The cruise brought her up close to humpback whales, around 30,000 of whom journey up and down from Antarctica, to the warm waters of the Queensland coastline. The whale-watching season starts in June and lingers on till end October each year and it's an encounter one must have when visiting the Gold Coast during whale-watching season.

#2 Sea World, Gold Coast

Next up, was an exciting visit to Sea World at the Gold Coast, where visitors can interact with dolphins, experience amazing marine life, check out the polar bears and even share the ice with Antarctic pengiuns, all under one roof.

#3 Scenic helicopter flight

If you think the Gold Coast is beautiful by land, wait until you see it by air! Sea World Helicopters is located only five minutes from Surfers, where Parineeti flew over the Gold Coast coastline to indulge in the best views of the coast.

#4 Skypoint Observation Deck

She rode to the highest point above the Gold Coast to watch the sunset, 77 levels above sea-level on top of the Q1 Building, the sixth-tallest residential building in the world. SkyPoint is the 'IT' place to snap a photo, check-in on Facebook and hashtag #thisisqueensland.

#5 Take a surfing lesson

Gold Coast is synonymous with surfing and the hip, new thing to do is to take a surfing lesson on your Aussie holiday. Surfers Paradise is the ideal spot to get into gear and head on a surfing adventure. Parineeti took a two-hour surfing lesson at Surfers Paradise, with professional surfing instructors teaching her how to catch a perfect wave.

#6 Self-drive to the hinterland

Having experienced all the action in the city by the beach, Parineeti hired a car and drove inland to the hinterland to discover the famous Springbrook National Park, that boasts of the best national park walks and the natural bridge, which alone is worth the physical effort. Add to the mix Cave Creek spilling through the roof of the cave and you can see why glow worms stick around to chill out in this pristine environment.

#7 The best views of Gold Coast

To the south of Gold Coast lie stunning beaches and the best spots to mingle with locals, not to forget the best views that go back to Surfers Paradise. Snapper Rocks is the perfect spot to enjoy Gold Coast's dramatic sunsets that you see all over social media. Parineeti strolled along Point Danger and soaked in the stunning ocean. Look out for humpback whales on the horizon, passing through and putting on a show - the perfect way to end the day.

#8 Dining on the Coast

Parineeti experienced the Japanese Izakaya style of dining with a modern twist at Etsu Izakaya, which serves the best sushi and sashimi, tempura dishes, salads and teriyaki with the freshest seafood produce from the Gold Coast. The coolest thing about the restaurant is that you've got to look for it as it has no signboard, but just a lantern hung outside to add to the mystery of finding authentic Japanese cuisine on the Coast..
