India's badminton mixed team confirmed a medal by defeating Singapore 3-0 to qualify for the final.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty, PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won their matches in straight games to showcase defending champion's dominance.

The tie started on a positive note with India's best double duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty showing their best against Terry Hee-Jun Kwek. They gained the momentum early on and made sure they maintained it, winning the match 21-11, 21-12.

Next up was PV Sindhu against world no 19 Yeo Jia Min. Both faced each only once before and Sindhu won the contest.

Sindhu didn't have to use her powerful smashes in the opening game. She was deceptive with her winners and consistent errors from Yeo Jia Min also helped her. She won the first game 21-11.

In the next game, Yeo Jia Min tried her best to push Sindhu but couldn't impose herself on her opponent. Errors kept coming and Sindhu's solidity was not broken. The match ended with Sindhu clinching the second game 21-12.

In the third match, Lakshya Sen and Loh Kean Yew played out a brilliant opening game. It was a back and forth stuff with Yew taking an early lead but Lakshya coming back to a take a slender 11-10 lead at the mid-game break. Lakshya then raced ahead to take 16-11 lead but Yew was not ready to give up easily. It was 20-18 before an error from Yew resulted in the opening game to Lakshya.

Lakshya maintained his form in the second game and Yew's errors made it really tough for Singapore to make a comeback. He tried his best but Lakshya closed out the game 21-15 to ensure India book their place in the final.
