Bournemouth join chase for Norwich City's Robbie Brady - sources

Bournemouth have joined Burnley in the race to sign Norwich's Robbie Brady, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

A number of clubs have shown an interest in Brady, with Leicester City, Newcastle United and Aston Villa all linked with moves for the Republic of Ireland international.

Burnley were leading the race to sign him but sources have told ESPN FC that Bournemouth have now entered the chase for a player who can operate at left midfield or left-back.

Brady, who impressed at Euro 2016 and has scored three goals in 22 Championship games for the Canaries this season, is keen to move back to the Premier League.

Norwich boss Alex Neil said after his side's FA Cup replay defeat to Southampton on Wednesday that clubs have bid for Brady but none has met City's valuation of the 24-year-old.

"There's obviously been teams interested in Robbie but we're not anywhere near a deal with anybody," he added.

"There have been negotiations that are ongoing and contact from other clubs. I wouldn't expect anything to happen soon because it is not at those levels. It will be our timescale and on our terms."

Norwich are reported to be holding out for a fee in the region of £12 million for Brady.
