Notable
Dave is known as one of the most powerful single buck sawyers in the US. He got involved in Timber events while in school at Fingerlakes College in New York, which had a Woodsmen's Team (still one of the most successful collegiate wood chopping teams in the country). He would watch them train every morning and evening. When he graduated from high school he wasn't that physically big and not that athletic. However, he gained 30 lbs and 2" in height during his first two years of college.
Quotable
"This is a sport that is easy to get addicted to. What's harder than learning how to win is learning how to lose. You have to know how to pick yourself up and focus for the next event, which may be happening in a matter of minutes. Finding yourself at the top of the leaderboard is quite an accomplishment when you're competing against men as tough as these."
