Day 26, August 18: Match 47, Haryana Steelers vs Telugu Titans, Chennai | Match 48, Tamil Thalaivas vs Puneri Paltan, Chennai

Manoj Bhagavatula

Vikash Kandola (Haryana Steelers): One of the breakout players of Season 5, Kandola has scored a Super 10 (at least 10 raid points) in each of the Steelers' last three matches, all wins. He has now surpassed Naveen as his team's top scorer.

Vishal Bhardwaj (Telugu Titans): Bhardwaj was efficient and effective in defence in getting the Titans' win count going. Following a tie in their next match, he will now look to remain just as solid as the Titans try to build some momentum.

Rahul Chaudhari (Tamil Thalaivas): Although he underperformed, relatively speaking, in the Thalaivas' previous match, Chaudhari's contributions in the raiding department are part of why the team has had a better start this season. He will need to continue if the Thalaivas are to have a good home leg.

Nitin Tomar (Puneri Paltan): Tomar came up with a decent eight-point effort in the Paltan's 32-30 loss to Dabang Delhi. His form will be crucial for the Paltan to snap their two-match losing streak.

Budget buys

Suraj Desai (Telugu Titans): After an explosive performance in his debut game, Suraj's efforts have fluctuated. However, he was his team's best raider in their last game, a tie against Bengal Warriors.

Pankaj Mohite (Puneri Paltan): Mohite has made useful contributions in the raiding department after starting from the bench in the Paltan's last two games. The team's best raider in those games, his impact is all the more important considering the team's inconsistent raiding.

Wild card

Siddharth Desai (Telugu Titans): The most expensive player of this edition has struggled to replicate the consistency he displayed in his debut season. Still, Siddharth has accumulated a decent number of points and has shown signs that he can come up with a match-winning performance seemingly out of nowhere.

Day 27, August 19: Match 49, U Mumba vs Haryana Steelers, Chennai | Match 50, UP Yoddha vs Jaipur Pink Panthers, Chennai

Manoj Bhagavatula

Arjun Deshwal (U Mumba): Deshwal took up the mantle of being U Mumba's main raider in the absence of Abhishek Singh in the team's last two matches. He scored his first-ever Super 10 in the match against Bengal Warriors.

Vikash Kandola (Haryana Steelers): That Haryana are currently riding a wave of momentum with three straight wins is down to the remarkable consistency of Kandola, who scored a Super 10 in all those matches.

Monu Goyat (UP Yoddha): In the win over Bengaluru, Monu showed shades of the form that helped Patna Pirates lift their third straight title in Season 5. Although he wasn't as impressive in the next match, a loss to the Steelers, his form is still encouraging for UP.

Deepak Hooda (Jaipur Pink Panthers): The captain of the inaugural PKL champions has led his team's resurgence back to the top of the table and the all-rounder's inclusion in a fantasy team is a no-brainer, especially for his consistency and ability to perform under pressure, as seen from his do-or-die raid points.

Budget buys

Sumit (UP Yoddha): UP's defensive find of this season is second in the list of successful tackles and joint second when it comes to tackle points. Sumit has already tasted success against the likes of Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, Pardeep Narwal and Kandola.

Abhishek Singh (U Mumba): Having made his PKL debut last season with Siddharth Desai, Singh has stood out in the absence of Desai and has been his team's best raider. Singh didn't feature in U Mumba's last two matches but whenever he has played, he hasn't let Desai's departure have an impact.

Wild card

Naveen (Haryana Steeler): After impressing at the start of the season, Naveen has been overshadowed by Kandola in the last few matches. However, he is just the kind of player who can come up with a match-winning performance seemingly out of nowhere.
