Two-time former UFC men's bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw returns from a two-year doping suspension on Saturday to take on hot contender Cory Sandhagen in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas.
The fights at UFC Apex will be on ESPN and ESPN+, with the main card starting at 7 p.m. ET and the prelims at 4 p.m.
Dillashaw (17-4) reigned at 135 pounds from 2014 until 2016, then again from 2017 until 2019. His second run as champ ended unceremoniously, as he was stripped of the belt after testing positive for erythropoietin (EPO). The banned substance was detected in a drug test prior to his 32-second loss to flyweight champion Henry Cejudo in January 2019. Dillashaw had been bidding to become a two-division champion.
Sandhagen (14-2) has won two in a row, both huge knockout victories. He finished onetime title challenger Marlon Moraes in October, then KO'd former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar in 28 seconds in February. Sandhagen is No. 3 in the ESPN men's bantamweight rankings.
