Washington Wizards' Rui Hachimura out 3 weeks with infection in both eyes

The Washington Wizards have ruled Rui Hachimura out for approximately three weeks with an infection in both eyes.

Hachimura, the Wizards' starting power forward, missed the final two preseason games after he was diagnosed with bilateral epidemic keratoconjunctivitis (EKC) on Dec. 16.

Hachimura averaged 13.5 points and 6.1 rebounds and was named to the All-Rookie second team last season. Washington opens the season Wednesday at Philadelphia.
