Connacht snap up Warwick

Connacht have persuaded Paul Warwick to end his World Series sevens adventures and pledge his future to the Irish province.

The 23-year-old outside half spent last season skippering the Australian sevens side around the globe, but has revealed he was keen to be part of Connacht's Celtic League campaign next season.

He said: "I have been checking the Connacht website every now and then in recent months and keeping up to date with all the news.

"They were very successful last season reaching two semi-finals and I'm really looking forward to the new season."

"I have toured Ireland before with an Australian schools team," added Warwick, who received the Ricoh Australian Sevens Best and Fairest Award for his performances in the IRB sevens series last season.

"I know Andrew (club skipper, Farley) and his is showing me around and introducing me to the players, that's a great help.

"This is the second coming for me and I'm really looking forward to settling in."
