Shooting World Cup: Sekhon-Bajwa win gold in mixed team skeet

India's Ganemat Sekhon and Angad Bajwa won gold in the skeet mixed team competition at the 2021 New Delhi ISSF World Cup. They shot 33 to beat Kazhakstan's Olga Panarina and Aleksandr Yechsenko who scored 29. Meanwhile, in the bronze medal match, Mairaj Khan and Parinaaz Dhaliwal lost to Reem Al Sharshani and Rashid Hamad 31-32.

The mixed team skeet shooting was the sole event of the day, with the top from the morning's qualification finishing in exactly the same order in the final two matches.

India continue to top the medal charts at their home world cup, with seven golds, three silvers and four bronzes.

Earlier on Monday, India's Parinaaz Dhaliwal, Kartiki Singh Shaktawat and Ganemat Sekhon won silver in the women's skeet event, while Gurjoat Khangura, Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Angad Vir Singh Bajwa won gold in the men's skeet team event.

Action will resume on Wednesday at 11 AM IST with the 50m rifle 3 positions (Men), followed by the 25m pistol women and the 50m rifle 3 positions (Women).
