Commentary
It's hardly been a classic in West London, as Brentford and Chelsea head into the break goalless at the Gtech Community Stadium. Aside from momentary glimpses of offensive intent, it's been a very cagey affair under the lights so far. In the 10th minute, we saw the best chance so far, as Welbeck brought the ball down and found Neto on the right of the box. His powerful effort was a routine-but-necessary stop for Kelleher to make, and he parried away strongly. Up the other end, Yarmoliuk came closest aside from some blocked efforts. He linked up well with Thiago, but could only drive his low effort from the edge of the box straight at Martinez in the 37th minute.
HALF-TIME: BRENTFORD 0-0 CHELSEA
There'll be a minimum of one minute of added time.
Henderson tries to feed Welbeck. The veteran striker then tumbles under slight contact from Yarmoliuk and looks bemused as the referee waves play on.
Thiago touches the ball down to Lewis-Potter to shoot after Janelt sees an effort blocked. It's straight at Martinez.
Rogers! Blocked by Schuster! Chavarria flies down the left and cuts it back to the England man. His vicious effort is blocked well. Henderson takes the corner, but Kelleher rises well to claim.
