Commentary
An absolutely ridiculous game of Champions League football comes to a close as Como thrash Lens, winning 9-1 at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. The visitors were 3-0 ahead at the break, but ran riot in the second half to secure an incredible victory by becoming just the second team in the competition's history to score nine times in a single game. Douvikas netted a hat-trick, taking his Champions League tally for the season up to six goals, while another seven different Como scorers were also on target. The likes of Paz, Da Cunha and Liberali produced inspired attacking performances as Lens were rendered completely powerless against Como’s overwhelming quality. Overall, the hosts mustered just 0.77 xG, while the visitors registered a whopping 4.27 xG from 18 shots and looked like they could score every time they ventured forward. The result pushes Como up to fourth in the league phase table, while Lens drop to a lowly 33rd. Next time in this competition, Lens travel to RB Leipzig and Como host AEK Athens. FULL-TIME: LENS 1-9 COMO
Since coming on as a substitute in the 58th minute, the dangerous Liberali has managed a goal and two assists. He's torn Lens' defence apart.

COMO HAVE TIME TO FIND A NINTH GOAL! 9-1! Liberali turns provider, swivelling and then spinning an exquisite pass through Lens' defence to send Papacciolo in on goal. The 18-year-old calmly converts his one-on-one opportunity, but his joy is cut short by the offside flag. However, the initial offside call is overturned and the goal stands, allowing the youngster to ecstatically wheel away in celebration.
There will be three minutes of added time until Lens' nightmare is over.
In fairness to the Lens fans, most of them have stayed, which is commendable given the humiliating circumstances.
