Sabah v Dortmund

It’s all over in Baku, as Guirassy was the hero for Dortmund again, scoring a brace as they beat Sabah 2-1. The Guinean would score his first just after 10 minutes, with Nmecha seeing his shot saved, allowing him to burst in and tap home the rebound. Sabah would respond well to the setback, with Mickels having a goal ruled out for offside. Just before the break, Puchacz swung a free-kick towards the back post, finding the head of McCarthy to beat Kobel. Dortmund would control the second half, in which they would lead again early on. Veerman’s ball over the Sabah defence was touched down by Guirassy, before he guided it across goal, past Pokatilov. Sabah would push to find another equaliser, but Dortmund’s defence remained unstoppable, seeing out the victory. A three-match winless run comes to an end for Dortmund, whilst Sabah suffer their first home defeat in the Champions League. Both clubs will be back in European action next month, with Sabah travelling to Norway to face Viking. As for Dortmund, they return home to take on Real Betis. Thanks for joining us this evening. Goodbye!
