Commentary
It is all over here in Dallas, as a late Haaland goal sends Norway through to the Round of 16, and Ivory Coast home! Ivory Coast had the better of the opening half-an-hour, before Norway took the lead with six minutes left of the half. Nusa dribbled into the penalty area, with Pepe allowing the winger to bring the ball into the box, before he cut onto his right and bent a super strike into the top corner. Haaland and Sorloth both came close to doubling the lead before the break, but we went into half-time at 1-0 to Norway. Amad came on for Ivory Coast and made a huge difference. He made a crucial clearance off the line to deny Heggem from making it 2-0, before a magic moment up the other end made it 1-1! Amad used Pepe for a one-two, then beat Moller Wolfe and Berge with some close control dribbling and staying composed to bury from inside the box. Haaland had a quiet match, but he wasn't going to go out without a special moment! With just four minutes to go, Bobb found the run in behind of Berg, with the Bodo/Glimt man cutting across to Haaland. The striker almost scuffed his strike, but he could just watch his effort dribble across the goal line and send Norway into the Round of 16. Norway ended the match with the higher expected goals, accumulating 2.02 xG to Ivory Coast’s 1.36 xG. For Ivory Coast, they certainly made some memories, making it out of the groups for the first time, but their run in the 2026 World Cup is over. Norway can look forwards to playing Brazil – can they beat the five-time winners and reach the quarter-finals? Thank you all for tuning into today’s coverage – bye for now!

LATE CORNER FOR IVORY COAST – KEEPER IS UP!
SUPER SAVE FROM NYLAND! Amad bends a powerful strike from the free-kick towards the top-left corner, but Nyland dives across to make one of the saves of the tournament!
Odegaard gives away a cheap free-kick on Sangare, leaving Ivory Coast with a chance from a set-piece.

Konan is also off, with Toure on for the remainder.
