The Power 4 commissioners are expected to meet next week in advance of a full annual CFP board meeting at the national title game, sources said. There is strong support for a 16-team field to start in 2026, but a 24-team model remains a part of the discussion. If the Big Ten and SEC commissioners can’t agree - and they still don’t - the field will stay at 12. The deadline to decide is Jan. 23.
