Arsenal come from behind to complete an impressive victory over Chelsea, who have been touted as contenders to their throne this season. Chelsea stunned the Emirates by taking the lead in just 77 seconds when Rogers picked out the bottom-left corner with a fine volley, making him the first player to score or assist in each of the club's first three league games of a season since Eden Hazard in 2018-19. Havertz got Arsenal back on level terms midway through the first half after Calafiori had a goal chalked off for offside, while Neto struck the post shortly before half-time. A sensational finish from Odegaard after Havertz's magnificent dummy of Tzolis' pass five minutes after the restart proved decisive, though, with the Blues unable to find another goal despite having significant spells of possession. The result means Arsenal and Manchester City are the only teams with 100% records still in tact, though the latter sit top of the table thanks to their superior number of goals scored. Chelsea were better than their expected goals (xG) value of 0.35 from 13 shots on goal, but they were unable to stop the Gunners from clinching all three points and an important early-season victory.
