Jenkins scores game-winner in FDU's 60-58 victory
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Jahlil Jenkins drove the lane with a minute left for the tiebreaking basket and Fairleigh Dickinson held on for a 60-58 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday night.
After Jenkins' basket, the Terriers' final possession lasted the entire final minute as they missed three attempts from the arc and a final tip-in.
Jenkins finished with 16 points with six assists and Darnell Edge added 18 points, while grabbing eight rebounds. Mike Holloway Jr. added 10 points. FDU shot 51 percent.
Edge scored 13 points and Jenkins 11 in the first half when the Knights (8-11, 3-4 Northeast) took a 36-21 lead. The Terriers outscored FDU 30-14 over the first 12 1/2 minutes of the second half with 12 points from Rosel Hurley and 10 from Jalen Jordan to go up 51-50.
Hurley finished with 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting with Jordan and Deniz Celen adding 16 points each with Celen grabbing 10 rebounds. Yaradyah Evans also had 10 boards for the Terriers, who had a three-game win streak snapped.
