Woods scores 17 as Navy takes down Army 57-53
ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- — Backup Mike Woods scored 17 points and Navy beat Army 57-53 on Saturday.
Woods also added eight rebounds for the Midshipmen (8-9, 4-2 Patriot League). Austin Benigni scored 12 points while shooting 5 of 17 from the field and 2 for 6 from the line. Donovan Draper was 3 of 7 shooting and 4 of 5 from the free throw line to finish with 10 points, while adding nine rebounds.
Josh Scovens led the Black Knights (5-14, 1-5) in scoring, finishing with 16 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Ryan Curry added 16 points, five assists and two steals for Army. TJ Small also recorded nine points, eight rebounds and two steals.
Both teams play on Wednesday. Navy visits Bucknell and Army travels to play Boston University.
