Oklahoma State Cowgirls vs Nebraska Cornhuskers

Nebraska routs Oklahoma State to clinch WCWS berth
Nebraska is headed to the Women's College World Series for the first time since 2013, clinching its spot with a 9-1 run-rule victory over Oklahoma State in the Lincoln Super Regionals on Saturday at Bowlin Stadium.
The Cornhuskers broke open a 2-1 game with a seven-run inning in the top of the fifth to secure the win and eliminate Oklahoma State. Hannah Coor, who went 3-for-3, started the rally with a leadoff solo home run. Later in the inning, pinch hitter Alina Felix delivered a two-run single, and Lauren Camenzind capped the scoring with a three-run homer. Coor finished with two RBIs, while Camenzind drove in three. Kacie Hoffmann also had a productive day, going 2-for-2 with an RBI.
Nebraska starter Alexis Jensen was sharp over four innings, allowing just one unearned run on two hits while striking out seven. With her first strikeout of the game, Jensen set a new program record for strikeouts by a freshman. Jordy Frahm entered in the fifth to close the game, striking out two and allowing one hit in a scoreless frame.
Oklahoma State (41-17) took an early lead in the bottom of the first inning when Lexi McDonald hit an RBI single to make it 1-0. However, the Cowgirls' offense was largely held in check from there, with only Amanda Hasler and Audrey Schneidmiller managing singles.
Nebraska (51-6) answered in the third inning, taking a 2-1 lead on an RBI double from Coor and a sacrifice fly from Hannah Camenzind before their decisive fifth-inning outburst.
Starting pitcher Ruby Meylan worked 4⅔ innings for Oklahoma State, surrendering six earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two. RyLee Crandall recorded the final out of the fifth inning but was charged with three earned runs on two hits.
