Queen's Park v Stirling
Jon Carter fires Queen's Park into top four
Jon Carter's fifth goal of the season proved enough for Queen's Park, who moved into the top four in Ladbrokes Scottish League Two with a 1-0 win over Stirling.Carter scored the only goal of the game in the 69th minute with a well-taken effort, and it proved to be enough for the Spiders to claim three points. They should have been ahead earlier in the game as Jamie McKernon fired wide when through on goal in the opening minutes, before William Muir was called into action for the hosts as Stirling counter-attacked well. The chances continued to flow for either side, and Chris Duggan rattled the woodwork as Queen's Park were frustrated.Carter eventually opened the scoring after a superb run from Craig McLeish set him up, and his emphatic finish into the roof of the net secured the win despite late pressure from the visitors.
