Arlette Snyder, the mother of Washington Football Team owner Dan Snyder, died earlier this month. She had owned 6.5% of her son's football franchise.

With one day left before the deadline to sign a long-term deal, there remains little hope of a deal with guard Branson Scherff. There has never been much optimism about a new deal so nothing has changed. He will receive $18 million this season on the tag and while Washington offered to make him the highest paid guard, it did not start at $18 million. That made any extension difficult.

Former NFL tight end Vernon Davis, who played with San Francisco, Denver and Washington, has been a busy man since retiring after the 2019 season with his new career: acting. He has filmed movies with Bruce Willis, Luke Wilson and John Malkovich among others. And he's also producing. For now he's known as Vernon Davis, the football player. Eventually he says the football part won't need to be mentioned.

Charges dropped against former WFT RB Guice

Four misdemeanor charges against former Washington running back Derrius Guice were dropped Wednesday after a settlement was reached with his ex-girlfriend. Washington had released Guice after his arrest in August.
