Sauber has become the 11th and final F1 team to reveal its 2016 car after releasing images of the new C35 online.
The car's launch was delayed until the second pre-season test this week following a change of date for the season-opening race in Australia. Sauber was the only team not to run its new car at last week's test and instead ran last year's C34 to evaluate Pirelli's new tyres.
The C35 features a familiar front end compared to last year's model, but the rear of the car is now more tightly packaged.
"For the development of the Sauber C35, we slightly changed the philosophy of how we developed the car aerodynamically," technical director Mark Smith said. "It sounds little, but the impact on the development of the car is significant. When looking at the Sauber C35, it is very much an evolution."
After finishing eighth in the constructors' championship last year, team principal Monisha Kaltenborn said the team is hoping to take another step in 2016.
"We want to clearly improve," she said. "Obviously, there's a certain position we'd like to achieve. But, to start with, it's important to become established in the midfield. Only then are we going to focus on individual positions."
