Michael Wacha is enjoying every bit of his rookie campaign. And why shouldn't he? Wacha won the National League Championship Series MVP award for his 13 2/3 innings of scoreless, 13-strikeout ball in two starts against the Dodgers. Now he has a chance to add a World Series ring to the list of his 2013 accolades.
In a week that was dominated by discussion surrounding Peyton Manning's return to Indianapolis, Andrew Luck ended up being the storyline of Sunday night's game, accounting for four touchdowns in a 39-33 win over the previously undefeated Broncos. Rounding out the top three was Florida State Heisman hopeful Jameis Winston. The freshman QB helped silence the better part of 83,000-plus screaming fans in Memorial Stadium with 446 total yards and four scores in a 51-14 rout of Clemson.
