12.20am: It's getting rather late so, from Gnasher and me, it's goodnight and good luck. Thanks, as ever, for your contributions to three thoroughly entertaining series between Pakistan and England out in the UAE. We'll be back for more fun and frolics soon (after a lie down). Cheerio!
12.05am: Time for the presentations... This match has gone on so long it's now Tuesday. Chris Jordan wins Smart Player for his Super Over, Chris Woakes the Most Colourful Innings, Shahid Afridi the Outstanding Performance. And Shoaib Malik is named Man of the Match for his 75 from 54 balls: "Yes I would have been very happy if we won the game but this is T20 cricket and I would like to congratulate the English team for the way they played throughout the series. We played hard but tomorrow is a new day and whatever mistakes we have made we will try to do better. I tried to clear the boundary, I'm not that strong and I couldn't, I think my hand it still struggling a bit... We need to work on certain areas, we'll sit down with the management and discuss things. I'm a senior cricketer, I need to contribute with my bowling, it's my responsiblity to deliver."
Afridi is Pakistan's Man of the Series and for England it is James Vince: "Yes, it's pleasing to contribute to the wins, it's my first series so a nice way to start. It's nice to get an opportunity, some of the situations I was in I had to steady it but I enjoyed every minute."
Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi: "I must give credit to the English team, these guys did really well in the ODIs and T20. We played well, batted well but missed the opportunity again. There were five overs we didn't bowl well, Shoaib Malik set things up and showed the batsmen the way to build an innings. England is a world-class team, we've had great preparation, lots of things have come out of this series and we will work on it. We've discussed things with the coach and we have a gap to sort things out. [Jordan] bowled well, perfect yorkers and he didn't give us any room, he really bowled well."
England captain Eoin Morgan: "It's really topped off a fantastic tour for us, I don't think we deserved to win tonight but the fight within the camp, taking it to a Super Over and Chris Jordan stood up, six perfect yorkers, brilliant stuff. He said he'd love to bowl, we set a field and he stood up to the plate. [Squad depth] That's really important for us, we haven't the privilege of a huge domestic T20 tournament, so it's important we expose our guys to pressure situations, putting our skills under pressure. Fortunately tonight we came out the better side. It's important for us to continue to develop as a team as much as we can."
11.55pm: It's nearly midnight in Abu Dhabi and England have finished their tour of the UAE in some style, wrapping up a final victory in the limited-overs leg. This is their first-ever 3-0 T20 series win and it means they swap places with Pakistan in the ICC rankings, up from No. 6 to No. 4. Chris Jordan, eh? That was some iron-grip choke-hold death bowling, but what a cracking match it was to get to that stage. England dragged themselves up from a rather sorry 86 for 6, Pakistan then recovered from 65 for 5 but Shoaib Malik's fabulous innings was not quite enough, as he fell to the penultimate ball of the innings.
Of course, Pakistan can still make this exciting again, it's possible to bowl England out by taking two wickets... Afridi is going to bowl, England send out Buttler and Morgan
A masterful display of death bowling from Chris Jordan means England will only need to hit four from their six balls to take the game... That's actually a bit of an anti-climax
Umar Akmal b Jordan
Well, breathless stuff. This game isn't over yet. It's now an over apiece. Pakistan will bat first. What a bonkers game of cricket this has been. So many mistakes in it, but some good stuff as well. Afridi is one of the batsmen at the crease...Jordan will bowl. Umar Akmal the other
Ahsan aslam: "I cant watch it ... "
One ball. Two runs. One for a Super Over. Khaqan Khan: "I want to see a super over!" You might well do. Long chat between a huddle of England players. It's been a terrificlly entertaining match
Shoaib Malik c Billings b Woakes 75 (89m 54b 8x4 2x6) SR: 138.88
Two balls. Two runs
Scott: "England will never be world champions until they learn how to bowl at the death, two games in a row they have failed to do it." This is part of that learning process. It's a tough job. And they won the first two matches, no?
Fielders going everywhere. Surely Pakistan's game.
josiah: "Dont we only get super overs in the wt20? otherwise it's a tie" Apparently not. No idea why you can't just a tie in bilateral matches. Anyway
Ten to win. 9 for a Super Over. Woakes to bowl. omkar: "woakes vs malik.. who will be the MoM" Awais: "Super over On the Cards ;-)"
