England win by six wickets. England's World Cup campaign is up and wheezing. They were disgraceful in the field, unspectacular with the bat but have got home fairly securely. There was one outstanding performance today and it came from Ryan ten Doeschate, who was stunning with his 110-ball 119. He followed it up with 2 for 47 from 10 overs on a flat pitch to prove what a high-class performer he is. Andrew Miller has more in his bulletin which will be ready shortly and you can entertain yourselves until then with our Facebook page. This has been a good day for me, I have ten Doeschate and Trott in my fantasy team. If you haven't joined yet, get involved.

"We got a lot of things wrong with our bowling and fielding," says Strauss. That's an understatement. "Very good wicket, we knew if we kept wickets in hand we'd have a good chance. We have to improve as the tournament goes on."

Unsurprisingly, ten Doeschate is named man of the match. "It was pretty special for me. I told my team-mates we're put out a really good performance here on the biggest stage. There wasn't too much planning but we assessed as we went along. I haven't set personal goals for the World Cup but I want us to carry on playing great cricket."

That's all from me, Sahil Dutta and the Andrews, McGlashan and Miller. Next game is Kenya and Pakistan tomorrow at 9.00GMT.

Loots to Bopara, FOUR, that's it. Bopara finishes it in style, hoiking this to the midwicket rope to take England home with eight balls to spare. Netherlands were fantastic with the bat and Borren and ten Doeschate sink to their knees now, at the half-way stage they would have been dreaming of glory

Loots to Bopara, FOUR, Bopara finishing it in a rush. Running at the bowler and smacking a waist-high full toss to the midwicket boundary. Scores level now

2
Loots to Bopara, 2 runs, good delivery - full and straight - Bopara bunts it down the ground, scampers a couple to take England within one shot of the match. In comes the field...

That's all but settled it now.

Loots to Bopara, SIX, Bopara has seen enough! Gets a fullish delivery and backs himself to beat the long-off fielder. Aims a fluid drive and nails it, sails flat over the man and over the ropes

Seelaar to Bopara, 1 wide, top bowling from Seelaar here. Bopara running down the wicket and it was fired flat and down the leg side, would have been a stunning take but technically a missed stumping I suppose
47.2
3
Seelaar to Collingwood, 3 runs, excellent work from Collingwood, stands tall to sort of reverse-tap this, took it from well outside leg and almost sent it down to the third man rope, really well timed

1
Seelaar to Bopara, 1 run, boot saves four here! Bopara nailed a straight drive and Seelaar shoved out a left foot to save the boundary

Seelaar to bowl his last over, he's bowled beautifully tonight.

46.5
1
Loots to Collingwood, 1 run, full and on the pads, rare good timing means Collingwood can only have a single here as it speeds out to long-on
46.4
1
Loots to Bopara, 1 run, Bopara is eyeing up the leg side and aims a wristy chip that sails down towards long-on, looked horrid half-way but bounced short of the man
46.3
2
Loots to Bopara, 2 runs, Bopara walks down the ground and gets an inside edge that runs into the long-on region, Bopara was back for a second but needed a full-length dive to get back into his ground
46.2
1
Loots to Collingwood, 1 run, aims another one, but this was a long way outside off stump so he didn't have the angle on his side. In the end it bobbles off the knee into the off side

4
Loots to Collingwood, FOUR, ah, that's the Collingwood England love. Nerveless, down on one knee and dinking a paddle sweep past short fine leg for four
