That was it from us on this Friday night. GT edge past KKR, and move up to fourth on the points table. KKR, meanwhile, remain last with five losses in six games; the other was rained out. Meanwhile, you can move over to South Africa vs India for more cricket action before you wrap up. Until next time, it's goodnight and goodbye from us!

Shubman Gill, GT captain, is also Player of the Match. He also has the Orange Cap, by the way. "I don't think it matters [whether he's batting like 2023]. Ideally, we would have liked to finish at least a couple of overs before. I was disappointed with the way I got out. The way both [Rabada and Siraj] were bowling, it was looking like they would get a wicket every ball... It's a little hot, so it isn't easy to bowl three on the trot. They took the game away from us a little bit in the middle overs. But it was important to still look for wickets. Fitness was something I got a couple of months [for]. Apart from that, working on the technical aspects. It's all about trying to stay in the present. Let's see [if the beard stays!]."

Time for the presentations

Bhavic: "Shahrukh Khan scores the winning runs against KKR. Irony!"

Pat: "Rabada or Gill for Player of the Match. I vote for Rabada, but it might go to Gill."

Kagiso Rabada: "Today I hadn't felt like I bowled particularly well... that's the nature of the beast. Playing in India as a fast bowler can be challenging at times. The way the game has moved forward, you need to keep up. The pitch was a bit different. Players can take the credit. We still have to put the ball in decent areas. I'm just glad things went my way. There's far less margin for error. With the Impact Player, the batting line-ups get lengthened too. It's important to not be too hard on yourself. Opening the bowling with Siraj, it's awesome to see how he's doing. Prasidh, Purple Cap holder, right up there. Ashok, stepping up and bowling some crucial overs... that's why he has been successful. Hopefully we can do the same and keep getting the big results. Sometimes you need a bit of luck. Funny things happen in a cricket game. Luckily, it [the DC game] went our way."

Ajinkya Rahane: "The way we started with two or three wickets down, the way Green started was amazing. From 147 for 4 to 180 was slightly difficult. But credit to all our bowlers [for] the way they bowled. They took it to the last over. Gill batted really well. There was slight dew as well, but no excuses. Sai Sudharsan and Gill batted really well. I just wanted to talk positive [stuff]. We had three close games... Green was struggling with his cramps, that's the reason he was on and off the field today, and that's the reason he didn't bowl. It's all about being in the moment. When things are not going your way, you think too many things."

11.20pm So near yet so far for KKR. They remain winless despite six attempts this season. They desperately wanted their star player Green to get back into runs, which he finally did with 79 - but no other batter supported him enough. KKR fought back well with the ball to slow GT down and take it really deep, but GT's win was set up by Gill's 86 and a calm finish by Tewatia and Shahrukh. GT eventually win, although they would have liked it much easier.

Ramandeep Singh to Shahrukh Khan, 2 runs, GT win after making themselves and their fans nervous!! Shahrukh gets a short delivery outside off, and he swats that forcefully to go wide of long-off. Powell does well to tumble and save a four, but that's certainly not enough

2 off 3.

1
Ramandeep Singh to Tewatia, 1 run, a leading edge... but safe. He looks to clip this full ball on middle, but ends up playing too early. A single to extra cover, where Rahane is deep in the circle

Ojas: "What a time to introduce an impact sub!"

1
Ramandeep Singh to Shahrukh Khan, 1 run, short delivery again, but at a lack pf pace. Shahrukh gets on top of the bounce to dab it to deep third

Impact Sub is in: Shahrukh replaces Prasidh.

Ramandeep Singh to Phillips, OUT, got him!! Is there drama left yet?! Phillips finds Rinku at deep midwicket. Short delivery from Raman, and slightly wide of off. Phillips opens his stance and goes for the pull by looking to ride the bounce, only for him to get off the top half of the bat

Ramandeep Singh to Phillips, 1 wide, on a length, and wide outside off. Left alone by Phillips

Ramandeep has the ball for the first time today.

KKR need a miracle. GT need five runs in six balls. It could be a matter of one ball for GT, though.

Arora to Phillips, 1 run, driven hard to deep cover. Full delivery around fifth stump, and he throws his bat hard at it
18.5
1
Arora to Tewatia, 1 run, no timing on the pull from Tewatia. The ball drops where a midwicket fielder would've been. Short ball zipping through on off, and Tewatia mistimes his shot

1
Arora to Phillips, 1 run, good, consistent length, but it could be too late. A low full toss on middle, and whipped to deep midwicket

Arora to Tewatia, 1 run, low full toss angling into off, and swiped to fine leg

2
Arora to Tewatia, 2 runs, great attempt by Tyagi to stop it at fine leg, but it's four two. Tewatia whipped this full ball angling into middle, and played it behind square. Tyagi ran and dived to his left, but touched the boundary cushion even after slightly bringing the ball to a halt. The fielder backing up, Narine, picked the ball up to throw it back. But the ball may have already touched the boundary by then. The third umpire is checking multiple times to confirm. This looks tricky: was the ball stopped cleanly before Tyagi ran into the cushion? Did Narine pick it up before it touched the cushion? Was the cushion pushed back as Tyagi slid to his left? It's taking a lot of time to confirm. Wow, it's given as two only

Arora will bowl out. From around to Tewatia.

Will GT look to finish it off in this over?

Kartik Tyagi to Phillips, FOUR, lofted down the ground. The non-striker has to duck to let the ball pass. Full delivery in the slot on off, and Phillips bashes it back with a high left elbow while being deep in the crease

Arora to Shubman Gill, OUT, amazing catch by Green!! Gill falls on 86 after a tumbling take by the tallest man on the field. Green is at deep third, and he moves and dives forward to take it barely off the ground. Gill walks off livid with himself. Arora kept firing it full and a little wide of off, and this time Gill couldn't find the gap. He went slicing to go through the line, and sliced it aerially to deep third. A shorter fielder there, and you think Gill may have survived
