At any rate, that's all we have from here. Thanks for joining us. Cheers
As expected of IPL interviews, that poor appalling umpiring at a crucial stage of the match wasn't even brought up. I mean they have all the technology available to them. How big should your ego be to not check with the third umpire when a high full toss has been bowled? They check all no-balls when somebody gets out
Quotes from presentation
"No consolation," says David Hussey. "Little bit of improvement needed with the bat. We showed the never-say-attitude, though. Little bit disappointed with my last over. Probably cost us the game."
"I am expecting those guys to do cake ceremony for me," says Rohit Sharma, whose birthday has started. Asad Rauf has already gifted him. "I wanted Mali to come and finish off the game. That's the one thing we always talk about, we want to be the best fielding side in this competition. Even the bowling was good with the dew coming in. I keep it simple: stay still as long as possible and if the ball is there to be hit, hit it."
On another note, were the umpires wary of being booed at Wankhede?
Oh boy. Poor umpiring continues to rule this IPL. What a spirited chase by Punjab. Miller and Praveen Kumar nearly took them home. Kulkarni was one nervous goose in that final over. I don't believe in blaming Hussey for that last over. I mean of course it hurt, but you can't blame it more only because Punjab came so close. Of course if the target was smaller, Mumbai and Punjab would have approached this differently
