Dinda bowled an absolutely superb penulatimate over but his effort was in vain. AB and Tiwary went for it with 21 needed, you would have still thought that it was Pune's game with that many required but Nehra was off target. AB's improvisation and some powerplay by Tiwary in the end won it for the hosts, though Gayle's five sixes in a row is also a major highlight of the chase. Bangalore had lost three of their previous four matches and this will come as a much-needed boost. Pune were on track for a win after Gayle fell, but faltered at the death. Gayle: "Nehra and Dinda got the ball in the right areas initially and we lost Dilshan. I tried to hang in there a bit. I looked to accelerate and that big over came and it put us back in the game. There was a lot of pressure. I'm actually sad that one of the sixes hit someone in the stands and broke their nose. This win, hopefully, will give us the push in this tournament."
