11.53pm Sunrisers stuttered quite a bit when they batted, but CSK struggled even more in their chase once their openers fell. Again a lot of CSK's top six got starts but could not capitalise them into stronger innings. Du Plessis and Dhoni kept them in the hunt with a very strong partnership but Faf's bizrre run out and Dhoni's dismissal on the next ball virtually ended the chase there. Top bowling from Henriques, PK and Bhuvi to top Warner's fifty.
MS Dhoni: 180-190 on this ground is a tough one to chase. We didn't start really well and bowled too short, bowling wasn't really great. Once they scored 190, every run becomes important. We lost the game once we lost a couple of wickets, when du Plessis and I got out. We didn't have to play outragoues shots in the chase. David batted very well, but when the bowler is not bowling to the field it becomes even tougher when.
David Warner is also Man of the Match: It's great to be the leading scorer, so far me and Shikhar have done a great job. Credit goes to curators for making a wonderful pitch. I thought 160-170 was a par score. Ashish's two wickets in that over was fantastic. Dhawan and I try and bounce off each other. If i'm going well then i try that, and he anchors and vice versa, we just look to maximise in the first six overs.
That's all we have from this match, with another fifty from Warner, another strong bowling performance from Sunrisers, and another loss fro CSK. Double-header on Sunday too, do join us for those too. Till then, ciao ciao!
Plays of the Day from the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings
David Warner's fifth half-century in eight innings set up Sunrisers Hyderabad's fourth win of the season
MS Dhoni's field placements have mostly been intuitive this IPL but a tendency to stick to a formulaic bowling strategy, devoid of surprise, revealed itself again.
