Black Caps tweet about the presentation. Kane Williamson says: Overall this tour has been of great benefit, everyone got a lot out of it. But we never gained momentum today. South Africa bowled very well today and adapted better than us to different conditions again today. Seems that about as much info as we can get. Thank you for joining us. Good night
AB de Villiers is Man of the Match, and Hashim Amla the Man of the Series
A big total on the board, an excellent show from the four fast bowlers South Africa had bet on with the Durban pitch expected to be quicker and bouncier. Good plan, nicely executed. New Zealand did have their chances, especially with Latham and Williamson laying a strong foundation. But 102 for 1 became 152 for 5, and that eventually became 221 all out. New Zealand lacked a big score, lacked the lower-order firepower to combat a pretty tight, disciplined bowling performance. But both teams will be worried about so many dropped catches. Television commentators said SA put down as many as 16 in the series.
"Been feeling quite good, AB has given me a lot of confidence. Came in at No. 6, came in early and managed to do well. I knew I just had to take it as deep as I could, it is one of my strengths. Ran well between the wickets, and finished well," says Farhaan Behardien
"Tough series, learnt a lot," says Wiese, "Little difficult for the batters playing in the winter"
"Rhythm was okay, good. Everyone bowled well, runs on the board, and it was always going to be difficult for them," says Rabada, "We knew what we had to do coming into this game, at the end of the day it was a great win. Been great [playing for SA]"
"Playing for this team is an absolute honour. Just glad I am doing what I am here for. I am a changed bowler from two years back, dont look for wickets anymore, concentrating on discipline," Imran Tahir says, "My role is what the team requires for me. It hasnt been great what I am doing in Test cricket, I need to prove to myself that I can do it"
"Its a great place to play cricket, always feels like a dream come true," says van Wyk
RonnietheKiwi: "So after the fairy tale of the World Cup, NZ has lost two ODI series and barely won the one against Zim. The question begging to be asked is, would NZ have performed quite as brilliantly if the venue of WC '15 was not their own backyard?"
Ravi: "Some credit goes to the SA bowlers as well. Even when they were unable to take wickets, they kept things tight for NZ."
duncan: "Maybe you missed the 2-3 years before the WC Ronnie..."
Prithvi: "Ronnie.. NZ are missing BMac, Taylor, Boult, Southee and Vettori from the WC XI. That's huge. They've done decently for a young side."
