Despite being inactive in April, the Azkals are now at an all-time high of 115th in the world, up one spot from the previous month.
Thomas Dooley's side made a strong finish to their 2018 AFC World Cup qualifying campaign and will stage November's AFF Suzuki Cup, alongside Myanmar.
Philippines are four places ahead of Southeast Asian champions Thailand, who hold steady at 119th. In the previous list, the Azkals jumped 19 places, which was the biggest leap among Asian teams.
Kiatisuk Senamuang's Thais are the only ASEAN nation still alive in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying.
They begin their third round campaign on Sept. 1, away to Saudi Arabia before hosting Japan five days later in Bangkok in Group B.
Singapore (148th) and Malaysia (174th) remain unchanged from the previous month. Vietnam, down one spot to 145th, are the third highest ranked Southeast Asian nation, with Myanmar at 167 and Laos in 176th, moving up six places.
Timor-Leste, who Malaysia face in 2019 AFC Asian Cup playoff next month, are one spot behind their upcoming rivals in 175th, with Brunei Darussalam at 195th.
The top Asian nation is Iran at 42nd in the world, followed by 2015 AFC Asian Cup champions, Australia (50th), South Korea (54th), Japan (57th) and Saudi Arabia (60th).
