Chicago Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and does not carry an injury designation into Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Bagent, however, is expected to serve as the backup to Case Keenum against the Eagles. Keenum, 38, was the only quarterback on Chicago's 53-man roster to practice each day leading into Week 3.
Bagent was back at practice Saturday where he was a full participant after missing the Bears' prior two sessions. The Bears say that the 26-year-old backup sustained a concussion on his second play in relief of Caleb Williams in Chicago's 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. After Bagent threw a short pass to his left that fell incomplete, he was driven to the turf by Minnesota outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel.
Williams was officially ruled out Saturday and has a Grade 2 hamstring strain that is expected to sideline him for three to four weeks, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
