Moffett looking for the bonus

A leading rugby official has called for a change to the scoring system in the RBS 6 Nations.

David Moffett, chief executive of the Welsh Rugby Union and member of the Six Nations committee, has called for a change to the scoring system in the RBS Six Nations.

Moffett has urged the tournament to catch up with all the Worlds other major competition and award bonus points.

Moffett believes there is plenty of support for the introduction of a similar system in the Six Nations, and claims it would add interest to the tournament.

``The Six Nations is a little out of step as the only major tournament which doesn't have a bonus points system,'' Moffett told the Daily Mail.

``I am very much in favour of it, as are most people. It ensures interest is maintained throughout the entire competition by enabling every team to go for a bonus point which could make all the difference.''
