The 2026 WNBA season marked the league's expansion outside of the United States for the first time in its 30-year history with the debut of the Toronto Tempo. "Setting the Tempo," a new four-part ESPN Original Series, chronicles the creation and launch of the franchise.
Directed by Kathleen Jayme, the series takes fans behind the scenes of building a WNBA franchise from the ground up. It features members of the Tempo's inaugural roster, including Marina Mabrey, Brittney "Slim" Sykes, Kia Nurse and Kiki Rice, among others.
