11.40pm The points table is looking juicier by the minute. A great way to finish off this day of double-headers. Some nervy moments for GT, but in the end, they stay in contention this season. PBKS will go back to the drawing board and take a deeper look at their bowlers once more. But for now, they stay top of the table too. Good night from everyone at ESPNcricinfo, and see you tomorrow for more IPL cricket!

And now, time for the post-match presentation.

Shubman Gill:"Would have liked to not take it as deep as we did. But two points! We always knew this is not the kind of wicket where we can chase it in 15-16 overs. If someone is set, they should go deep. Length balls weren't coming. Important for the batter who was set: lucky for us, Washy finished it off. It was all about the kind of situation we are in, and the best batter [on sending out left-handers, one after another]."

Jason Holder is Player of the Match for his 4 for 24. "Credit to both Siraj and KG. Their efforts have been outstanding. Makes my job easier, coming in the middle. Having said that, still need to come and execute. Main thing is to keep pressure on. Ensure you make it difficult for them to score. Talked long in dressing room. I mean, last year and half, only played T20 cricket. Would still love to play Test cricket, but able to focus on T20 cricket. Ensures I'm ready for all situations. For me, executing when called upon. Disappointed not able to finish last two games. But keeping fresh mind, staying positive, execute when called upon... Try to make an impact, best as I can under pressure."

Washington Sundar: "I mean we had to be little calculative on the wicket. Can't get boundaries off good, hard-length balls. Play the field really well and get boundaries now and then. Worked out today. I mean, Arshad bats really well, I was just asking him to enjoy the moment and back his strengths. Boundaries he hit earlier in the over paid off really well. [On left-handers] Not sure, was just focused on the chance today. They didn't really bowl spinners."

Shreyas Iyer speaks, a little dejected. "I personally thought it was a great score. New ball was doing a bit at the start. Their bowlers made best use of the surface, way they were hitting the deck. We lost four wickets in the powerplay, just to get to 160 from there was a phenomenal effort. With the new ball, I thought we would be able to hit line and length and be accurate and get wickets, but didn't work out. Kudos to the effort: attitude and approach. We missed on hitting the hard lengths, I think. Hitting over midwicket wasn't easy on this wicket, there was variable bounce. In terms of execution, we fell short. We're still top of the table, we'll take positives from that.... Shows the character of the bowlers, wanted to win, didn't click today. Excited for the opportunity [in Hyderabad next]. Boys putting in hard yards. If the character is high, attitude is right, results will come eventually."

11.20pm Gujarat Titans have huffed, and puffed, and then almost stuffed it up. But in the end, they cross the finish line thanks to Washington Sundar holding his nerve! There are four teams on 12 points now. The IPL, with this result, has suddenly come alive. Gujarat Titans took a steady approach to their chase rather than exploding in the middle overs, and that almost came back to bite them. But in the end, the amazing bowling effort earlier in the evening - headlined by Jason Holder's four-for - meant GT were always the favourites to wrap this up. Phew, whaddachase.

Stoinis to Washington Sundar, SIX, And Washington has wrapped it up like only he can! Stoinis tries the yorker once more, but he lobs up a juicy full toss on the stumps. Washington drops to one knee and lobs this down to deep fine leg. Relieved faces in the GT dugout, heartbreak writ all over Stoinis' face. His plans were a little all over the place, but in the end, what matters for GT is that they've squeezed out 11 runs from a thrilling final over

1
Stoinis to Arshad Khan, 1 run, It's all happening here! Absolutely picture-perfect yorker, and squeezed into his pads. Stoinis runs in to collect, throws it to the non-striker's. Misses. A dive from Arshad ensures he can't get back up to attempt a second

Amnah: "Can Stoinis do a Hunain Shah here?"

Stoinis to Arshad Khan, no run, Oooo, now he's finally gone for the line that has worked for PBKS in these death overs. Back of a length, kept outside off, and Arshad swings at fresh air
19.2
2
Stoinis to Arshad Khan, 2 runs, Shidge pulls off a Superman dive to keep this game alive! Was another full ball right on the pads, deserved to be put away. Flicked towards a vacant deep backward point but Shidge's dive saves two

Sheela: "Is it going to be SUPER OVER?" - That four should ease GT nerves...

19.1
4
Stoinis to Arshad Khan, FOUR, Arshad has squeezed this one away! Stoinis lands it right in the blockhole but it's right in front of the pads. Arshad flicks this to deep fine leg, which is lying empty with the fielder stationed way deeper inside

1w
Stoinis to Arshad Khan, 1 wide, Shorttt, too short! And that's one run struck off for Stoinis to defend. Sailed well over the batter's head

How have GT brought it down to 11 off the final six... PBKS will be delighted to stretch this chase out. Now to see which way this game goes

Sanjeev : "Is GT snatching Defeat from the jaws of victory??"

Arshdeep Singh to Arshad Khan, 1 run, Arshad goes for another big swipe down the ground. Doesn't middle this back of a length ball, goes down to long-on

Aditya: "GT win will become interesting as 5 teams will be on 12 points " - They're doing their best to stretch out this chase before they get to the 2 points (or, err, not...)

W
Arshdeep Singh to Holder, OUT, Wowwww, do we have a plot twist after all! Connolly has taken a magnificent catch down at cow corner. He runs in and scoops the ball up in his hands, and slides in the grass on his stomach to rub it in for GT. Was back of a length and Holder swiped across the line. For a moment, looked like he'd send it over the ropes, but it held in the pitch once more. Just didn't get the elevation he needed from this

1
Arshdeep Singh to Washington Sundar, 1 run, Washington just isn't finding his timing here. Pitch has turned as slow as ever. Outside off, back of a length, holding in the pitch just a little as he swipes across the line. Down to long-on

rayyan: "pls get a wicket and stop giving 2runnnnns" - Easier said than done, rayyan!

Arshdeep Singh to Holder, 1 run, Back of a length and moving away to just outside off. Glided off the bat late, towards deep backward point

2
Arshdeep Singh to Holder, 2 runs, Steps into the off side with that big stride of his, allows him to get in line for this delivery on the stumps. Flicked down to midwicket, and he runs back for a risky two. Two more shaved off this target

shivang: "PBKS are bowling to a right hander after almost 10 overs!" - Wait in life and things will come to you! (Even if it's in the penultimate over of a middling chase)

1
Arshdeep Singh to Washington Sundar, 1 run, On a length outside off, Washington happy to drive it down to covers for another single

17 off 12. Surely there isn't a twist left in this tale...

Navin Daga: "Anyone for two wickets in 2 balls and a super over, make it a fun Sunday. Come on!!!" - Now then, Navin...

Bartlett to Holder, no run, Another silky straight drive, high elbow. But driven right back to Bartlett

Jay: "Being a GT fan is very difficult. You hardly get to witness a win which is convincing. Their brittle middle order makes all matches nail-biting." - They're certainly taking their time to finish this one off!

Bartlett to Holder, no run, Another drive to covers. Full-ish outside off, Holder looks elegant, but elegance alone can't pierce the gap etc.

Bartlett to Holder, no run, On a length right outside off. Holder drives this aerially, but falls well short of extra cover

Get 'em in singles, boys, for GT right now. And why not!

rayyyan: "wait Is this real commentry" - Is this realll lifeee, or is this fantasyyyy...

Bartlett to Washington Sundar, 1 run, Hurried on the extra bounce there. Short and rising at his shoulder, down to deep midwicket
17.1
4
Bartlett to Washington Sundar, FOUR, How has he bunted it down to long-on! Was back of a length, on the stumps and angling away from him. Would cramp most batters. But not Washington, who swipes this at the exact angle he needed to beat the fielder running in...

PBKS have kept clawing their way back into this game, time and again...

Holder out now. Had the golden arm today.

Jansen to Tewatia, OUT, Tewatia has cracked this to Bartlett! He's sunk to his haunches here, in disbelief. Back of a length outside off. He is down on one leg and has absolutely smashed this one. But too flat and picked out deep square leg to perfection

R Tewatia c Bartlett b Jansen 2 (11m 6b 0x4 0x6) SR: 33.33

Abby: "Why do i think "that" denied single will come back in discussions in final qualification stages this year..." - Now then now then... He isn't even with either side tonight! Poor Mr Miller...

4
Jansen to Washington Sundar, FOUR, Trademark scoop from Washington here! Wayyyy into the off side and he plays this towards deep fine leg, where Vyshak plays hide-and-seek with the ball but looks like he was in touch with the boundary cushion when he eventually managed to push it back into the field
