It has been a pleasure to take you through the action tonight. Goodbye!
That concludes our coverage of this game. We will be back tomorrow for what is the last double-header day. The first match will determine whether Lahore Qalandars go into the playoffs and the second match, the last match of the league stage, will decide Zalmi's opponents for the qualifier. So there is a lot of action to look forward to.
Shaheen Afridi: This was a team effort and everyone chipped in. We had played an extra batter as we knew it would help us chase even if the target is 200. We are struggling in the death and are leaking a lot of runs and that's an area where we need to work on over the next few days before the playoffs.
Babar Azam: Sometimes you need a wakeup call, which we got today. We did not execute well as a bowling side. [On Ali Raza's bad day] You have to be patient with the youngsters because their plans can be derailed when they are being attacked. As a captain you have to give them confidence. [Playing the Qualifier in Karachi] We have won six matches there and those conditions have suited us. We will be returning to Karachi after a gap so we will sit together again and access the conditions.
Fakhar Zaman: We played day before yesterday on this pitch and we knew it will support the bowlers. So we were circumspect early on. The plan was that I will stay until the end and the others would attack.

Zalmi hoped to continue their winning momentum in this game but they would not mind a defeat at this stage as it would help them iron out their areas of concern before the first qualifier on Tuesday. They fly to Karachi for that contest. Ali Raza, who has been impressive throughout the tournament was expensive, and Khurram Shahzad finally got a match under his belt this season after warming the bench for the last eight matches. Their fielding coach must have taken note of the lapses in the field.
Zalmi - on their flight to Karachi - would have the company of Karachi Kings, who have been eliminated from the tournament.
Fakhar anchored this chase with an uncharacteristic 58 off 47 which allowed Shafique, Raza, and Sams to blast as he held his end. His 53-run stand with Asalanka was pivotal as it denied any further inroads to Zalmi's spinners after the wicket of Shafique.
Whether Lahore Qalandars go to the playoffs or not would be determined tomorrow after the match between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz. But they will take a lot of heart from this well-constructed run chase. Lahore have a bright chance of going ahead in the tournament because of a superior net run rate. Hyderabad not only have to beat Rawalpindiz but also do so with a big margin to supersede the Lahore's net run rate.
Dany: "Hope this loss doesn't ruin Zalmi's momentum and they peaked before the big games. Would be gut-wrenching to see such a deserving team not win the PSL"
Shoaib Ahmad : "Shaheen, Rauf take notes on how to bowl in death overs. Well done khurram"
