In one of the most unique challenges ever faced by a Formula One driver, Max Verstappen is taking to Silverstone on Wednesday, where he will try to overtake 100 drivers in just 30 laps.
Verstappen first sat in a kart at the age of four and was taking part in competition by the age of seven -- but has been in Formula 1 for the past 11 years.
He's set to roll back the years and test his go-karting pedigree once more against drivers from the world of social media, TV and sport.

What is Max vs 100?
Max vs 100 is a one-off go-kart race organised by Red Bull, which sees four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen attempt to beat 100 amateur drivers from around the world at Silverstone.
What does Verstappen have to do to win?
Verstappen will start from the back of the grid, with all 100 competitors ahead of him. He will have 30 laps to overtake all of them in order to win.
When a kart is overtaken by Verstappen, they are out, meaning Verstappen could win before the 30 laps are complete.
What is the 'fast lap' and how do the shortcuts work?
Anyone attempting to hold off one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time will need a little bit of help, and Max vs 100 competitors will have access to a 'fast lap' once during the race.
Drivers will be able to use their 'fast lap' at any time in the first 15 laps of the race, which will enable to them to take a shortcut on the track and gain some ground back on Verstappen when he begins to close in.
However, Verstappen has one available of his own to gain time -- but he cannot use it until the last 15 laps.
How does qualifying work?
The grid order will be determined by one flying lap around the specially-designed course at Silverstone -- with just a single attempt available. Much like in Formula 1, the grid order will be determined by lap times.
Are all the karts the same?
Every kart is identical. The complete weight, including driver and kit, must reach 85kg, meaning ballast will be added to karts which do not reach the total, levelling out the field.
Who are the 100 drivers facing Verstappen?
Among the drivers taking on Verstappen are personalities from TV, social media, and sport, though no professional racing drivers are included.
The list includes streamers Pieface, Caedrel and TheDonato, ultrarunner Arda Saatçi, basketball shooting phenomenon Chris "Lethal Shooter" Matthews, and 2019 Love Island winner Amber Gill.
Verstappen will be able to communicate with the field directly during the race, offering an insight into his racing brain.
How difficult will Max vs 100 be?
Verstappen's challenge in this race will not be in terms of raw pace or lap times, where he is certain to be a cut above the rest.
The issues will come in the form of traffic -- with so many karts ahead of him and some very likely to be lapped -- and time management, as Verstappen will need to calculate where and when he is to attempt passes.
A few of the field, while not professional, are karting influencers who know how to get round a track, and will want to make the most of their opportunity to defend against a Formula 1 icon.
When and how do I watch it?
Max vs 100 is taking place on Sept. 16, and will be shown live in the UK on Disney+.
In the U.S., Max v 100 will also air on the ESPN App for Unlimited subscribers before a delayed ESPN2 broadcast later that day.
The race itself will start at 6 p.m., with the live stream beginning one hour before.
