Welterweight Michael Page has been forced to withdraw from a nontitle bout against Curtis Millender at Bellator 134 on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Officials confirmed to ESPN.com that Page (7-0) suffered a cut during training camp and was not cleared to fight. Former middleweight title contender and Connecticut native Brennan Ward has agreed to replace Page in the bout.
Page, 27, has compiled a 3-0 record under the Bellator banner. The British striker has finished six of his seven career wins.
Ward (9-3) was already scheduled to fight Jesse Juarez on the event. He will look to stop a two-fight losing streak. He started his Bellator career by winning five of his first six but hit a wall since. The 28-year-old has been finished in back-to-back fights against Alexander Shlemenko and Tamdan McCrory.
Millender (7-0) is set to make his promotional debut. Five of his seven professional wins have gone the distance.
A light heavyweight title fight between Emanuel Newton and Liam McGeary is scheduled to headline Bellator 134.
