He's athletic (former college hoops), but this is a bit of a head scratcher. It means they don't have to force a left-tackle pick in the draft.

The Giants added the veteran cornerback they desperately needed in James Bradberry. They had an especially young group of CBs with nobody over the age of 24 currently under contract. The Giants also like Bradberry's ability to play man coverage, having matched against other teams' top WRs in Carolina. It also probably didn't hurt that Dave Gettleman drafted him in Carolina.
